Great question!  Well, every reception hall will tell you a different answer.  The truth is, you want the music and entertainment in a centrally located place so that not only will everyone be able to hear what is coming out of the speakers but the focus can be given to where it needs to be given.  They head table and the wedding party.

Work closely with your reception hall and entertainment and make sure the sound is centrally located.  You do not want your guests to be straining to hear announcments and what is going on!
